I used almost 1½ hour today trying to play the solo of Free Bird. At full speed I can probably do ~15-20 seconds of the solo.. Long way until finish..

two weeks until school start and i still have two classes missing from my schedule. AGHHHH so nervous. i just hope my second year at college will go better than the first.

We had our busiest concert tonight at work holy shit we were overwhelmed.

650 people. We usually only see 100 a night if we have a solid relatively well known band and a couple local bands. It was insane. We had people climbing on speakers so we had to be impromptu security and shit. Fucking crazy. Someone got punched in the face like 6 times too.

i've begun pronouncing DSLR as dissiller and i think that's improved my life a little

i'm not any good at basketball, but it can be fuckign exhuasting playing in iron rangers

2 days, 5 ikea assemblies, 2 close-call panic attacks, 1 selling my soul to the devil (comcast) and we're moved into our apartment! Still unpacking stuff, figuring out what we need more of (ie food, those things that turn 2-prong plugs into 3-prongers, and fans). But will post a cribs vid when it's all in order (smiling)

1.5 weeks into med school. Life is hard

Finally got my room assignment changed. Going to be living in a double room with an incoming freshman from out of state. His only interests are sports and top 40s hip hop. I'm sure he's a nice guy and everything but for once it'd be nice to be with a roommate that I have something in common with. Oh well, I'm not going to complain much at this point. At least I have a room that isn't ridiculously expensive. Still wish I had a single room though, I really don't like having a roommate.

so bored. give me some suggestions on what to do today. I don't want to spend a day doing nothing again.

Chill guys I'm just rather iffy on roommates after having an absolutely horrible one last year. He was antisocial and rarely did laundry, which was bad because he worked out a lot and played sports. He made a mess of our entire room (shared with another roommate who was okay I suppose) and left his dirty underwear and jockstraps ON TOP OF my stuff (to include shoes, homework, and other personal belongings). He smelled disgusting and our entire room reeked because of it. You could smell it at the opposite end of the hall and everyone on our floor complained (we did too obviously). He was an asshole. He went to bed at two in the morning and always had to turn on his ridiculously bright desk lamp to do homework while we were trying to sleep. He was also constantly picking fights with everyone and complained about everything. I'd just rather live alone. That's why.

Don't discount him just because of the way he looks on paper. I know plenty of great, interesting people who listen to none of the same music or have remotely similar tastes to mine. Also the best qualities to have in a roommate are cleanliness and willingness to communicate, not great taste in films or whatever (I've made that mistake before). Living with someone is a whole different thing from being their friend—not that the two can't intersect, but I've found that the qualities necessary for each are not always found in the same set.
