I think The Invisibles is my favorite series I've read so far. Something about how confusing and just kind of a mess as far as plot it is really appeals to me. The constantly changing artists add to that feel, but it's a bit distracting in some parts. At the very least, it's a great look at all the ideas inside Morrison's head and a pretty interesting read.

I don't know if I have the patience to actually finish a longer story, but sharing stuff with you guys is good for my motivation.
If anyone has suggestions on drawing noses... I need those suggestions

i don't know if i would call it "underrated" per se but people don't talk about 100 Bullets nearly enough
Azzarello's depiction of american crime is up there with Cormac McCarthy's work imo

, not as far as I know. I walk by homeless people wrapped in blankets a lot though, and I've been thinking recently about what it is like to be homeless, especially for a long time---it really comes through in the slow, shuffling movement of those who've got leg or foot problems they can't afford to treat, or maybe just those who have nowhere to go and need to keep on moving so they don't atrophy or get yelled at for staying in the same place for too long. I had bedbugs once in college (grrr) and it made me wonder what would happen if this one guy I walk past often, who's always wrapped in insane amounts of blankets and coats, were to get bedbugs and how much it would SUCK :(((( But yeah, it's fiction.

i'm reading the 2003-2004 Inhumans run and it's awesome. So far there has barely been any Black Bolt but the characters in it are good.
it's basically reflecting america at the time it came out. lots of distrust, fear of different types of people, rejection of other cultures etc. a bit basic, but so far the story is not bad.

Kinda looking forward to the Marvel x Attack on Titan comics (not that I'm a huge comic book reader).

Recently read a few non superhero comics.
Anyone read Sex Criminals, Alex + Ada, or Saga? All I've read so far are the first volumes of each.

yoyobeat draw a comic of me trying to get a perfect waywt picture w/my internal dialogue that takes a divergent path along how internet fashion even prizes the appearance of something over the actuality even more than traditional fashion used to.

wanna get this thread back up and going. Anyone else read comic books? I just got into the medium and I gotta say I'm loving it. Between viewing and pirating comics online it seems that comic books are more accessible than ever. I started with some horror (Locke & key, Spread, Outcast, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) but at the suggestion of my friend who is a major comic book junkie I started The Invisibles and I am totally loving it. Think I'll check out more 90's stuff from Vertigo like Sandman and Preacher when I'm done with this school year.
What are other folks reading?
