I would agree with what yoyo says but don't get hung up thinking that you'll make friends doing things that you enjoy. Certain classes and events are just useless for meeting people due to plain logistics. If you want to make friends set that as your objective and target things that will help with that.

I'd also say that take it easy on yourself. Making friends as an adult is hard for most people. I'd expect it to take months if not years to build a decent group up.

give up making friends now and resign yourself to a grim kafka-esque life of misery, dump your boyfriend for the full bachelor nightmare and don't forget to transform into a beetle

Got a job offer the day of the interview today!

Now I really want the job I'm interviewing for tomorrow and I think I have a great chance, as the location, position, and pay are pretty much superior in every way, but this is a great backup position at a pretty cool company with a super dope office building, albeit in a shit tier location. At least I'll have tons of leverage to make them respond quickly. Either way, it feels pretty damned good!

Today some guy stopped me on the street and asked to take some pictures of me. I thought he wanted a photo of my outfit and I got SUPER excited, thinking "yesss I made it". Turns out he just wanted some shots of my face. He then made me mutual follow him on instagram and told me to go to his exhibit this weekend. Is this the photographer version of handing out your mixtapes on the street!?
