Are there any good books or articles on I dunno consumerism or something. Like I found myself watching the new star wars movie(which I found to be meh overall) and I was just wondering is there any reason why me/people/society at large chooses to consume the same goods(even if the goods are bad). Are the goods/lifestyle being consumed and pushed on the caretags ecosystem by its users any different? Is the short answer "people try to fit in/aren't exposed to new things/people pay to enjoy what is familiar/general bad taste in most things is the norm?"
