I think I'm starting to get addicted to getting stuff I want in the mail. None of it's cheap, either. It's good stuff, but my discretionary-spending pool is gonna be mostly drained after the credit-card bill comes due.

On the other hand, I'm saving $55/month by moving my cell phone service from Verizon+Verizon to Verizon, so the pool'll regenerate that much more quickly.

Ironically I was bitching about nonprofits not too long ago, and suddenly I got nominated to be on the board of a small mental health nonprofit. I feel like this is next level adult life for me. I'm not sure if I'm ready, but they've done so much for me in the past so I feel compelled to contribute back. Perhaps I should own up to being the change I want to see.

i have a "skype interview" tomorrow. not sure if that implies its a video call, because it could be a phone call, right? ive only ever done a phone interview before, and that was terrifying enough. dont know if im emotionally prepared for this. especially since it'll be in english, i havent spoken a full english conversation since early december

Yeah it will probably be a video call. You can wear a suit jacket and pajama bottoms and they'll be none the wiser. You can call me to practice your English if you want. Whenever I try having a conversation in French now I can never find my words. It's super annoying. My grandparents said they were worried about me.
