i know what you are talking about eufemism. you sit down a suddenly it's like 'what is even going on right now?' i think it's basically a moment of extreme 'presentness' that strips away the context that you conceive of yourself within a system of thought (via present and future). When it happens i'm aware that all that matters (or all that anything is) is existing. the fact that you are sitting in mcdonalds eating your number three w/ no pickles is exposed as the totality of your being. In buddhism you are supposed to cultivate presentness because it helps to free you from suffering. not anarchy of course, but more just an awareness that each moment is constantly changing. it may seem like sadness, but i would guess its more a feeling of helplessness and to understand that helplessness in the context of being present can be really helpful i think. savour the moment
