i have to sleep with a body pillow. i sleep on my side hugging it. i think i read once that if you sleep on your side, keeping something between your knees is helpful so that you can sleep with them vertically aligned (and your spine doesn't get weirdly contorted). if you don't have something between your knees, they rub together and it is not conducive to cuddly, cozy sleep.

i also hate memory foam pillows i don't care what anyone says

My current setup: full bed, generic crappy mattress courtesy of prefurnished apartment. Two standard pillows, one layer thick. One memory foam (Perfect Pillow™) pillow atop those. Body pillow for cuddling (looking for replacements, hit me up and we can talk ;)). Quilt made of old tees (hs graduation gift from my neighbor who does those). Wintertime I add an oversized fleece blanket beneath it.

I can't sleep with socks on. Even if I manage to fall asleep with them on, they end up off when I wake up.

I'm not sure if my typical lack of making the bed is common, or if I'm just lazy.

Sleeping at work is fantastic

Sleeping on trains and metros is my jam

Getting a healthy amount of regular sleep is properly hard. I need to stop chaining caffeine and staying up so late.

my sleep cycle is really fucked up

since i have class in the afternoons i end up sleeping around 3 in the morning and waking up at 12 in the afternoon feeling like an unproductive piece of shit =(

i've considered taking sleep aids and teas but i dunno what would be non habit forming/most effective

love sleeping. devote a lot of time and money on optimal sleeping. also, i'm blessed with being able to go from lying in bed to asleep in 5 minutes. this is a bad superpower during work meetings though.

I've found that just forcing yourself awake, and making it through the day awake for a couple days in a row will put you to sleep earlier.

blankets > sheets

in the event of sheets, rayon are fav

I only sleep on my back, on a hard-ass bed with a tiny pillow. Less movement means faster sleep (ymmv)

Sleep is wonderful, unfortunately I dont get enough of it. Most days I fall asleep at around 2 or 3am and have to wake up at ideally 6.30 so I'm always sleep deprived. Doesnt help that I sleep like a rock despite having several alarms set at 15 minute intervals so that 6.30 becomes more like 7.30. This sleep deprivation often manifests itself and takes back what it can in the most inopportune times, like meetings.

I cant sleep when it's too warm. Have to sleep with my head and upper back elevated with up to three pillows or else I wake up with uneven eyelids.

I sleep on my side curled up tight like a gestating fetus.

damn this thread is so me. sleeping is my favorite shit in the world

- i have a first world problem where my bed is so comfy it makes it really difficult for me to get out of bed in the morning. i'm not exaggerating. i quite literally have trouble waking up and getting out of bed because my bed is so fucking comfy. i'm late to work nearly every day because of this.

- i use a fairly hard mattress, which i guess isn't for everyone but i find it more comfortable than soft or tempurpedic

- for some reason i sleep best on my back with my hands behind my head

- i also prefer to use a large comforter/blanket scrunched up instead of a pillow

- i must always have a blanket on top of my body, and i have to tuck the bottom underneath my feet

- i sleep with my glasses on a lot. it also helps me not have to completely redraw my eyebrows in the morning. lazy/gross

- i can sleep 10 hours and still be tired. i know 8 hours is supposedly the average but i need more than that

- i'm an adult yet still afraid of the dark so i fall asleep best when the tv is on a sleep timer

- if i use a sleep timer for tv or music, i have to set it at an exaggerated interval or i stay awake stressing out about how it is going to run out before i actually fall asleep

- i sleep with my eyes slightly open

- i fucking hate falling asleep with a fan on my face

- and i absolutely fucking hate falling asleep when the sun is beginning to rise and the light is a pale blue

- and finally, i live in california and have slept through like every earthquake in recent memory. it sucks when people are like "DID YOU FEEL THE QUAKE LAST NIGHT?" and i'm like "no i fell asleep"

I find it very hard to sleep in the same bed as someone. I get anxious about moving around too much and keeping the other person awake.

This past week I've woken up every day 5-10 minutes before my alarm's gone off.

If I wear a henley to bed, I'll wake up with all the buttons undone.

DO NOT share a bed with me. I will slowly turn like a rotisserie chicken all night long. If I catch an edge of the blankets, I will wrap myself up like a pillsbury crescent. You have been warned.

I cant fall asleep until the sheets are properly tucked into all corners. I haven't been getting much sleep lately due to school and other factors but I don't feel it's been affecting my work or attitude as much, which is cool, but I'm dreading the inevitable crash.
