top 5 90s 'alt rock' music videos involving house party / pool party / preferably with artist playing somewhere like the living room or a in the garden / general lifestyle thing

5. okay this just sneaks into top 5. is technically in a house but not really a party...but it's weezer so...???

4. not my fave sy track but the video starts with a couple making out on the grass outside a house party. inside a man dances with a beanie and a sleeveless shirt. spliced with b&w footage to show additional narrative. some great hair. pensive looks.

3. promise ring play the subversive card with this interesting take on the house party concept. fridges, pool diving, bmx'ing, heavy on the 'band in car' traveling round suburbia, american football match at the end, lots of general slo-mo camera work. also heavy on 90s flintstone - lots of corduroy, heavy flannel etc

2. breaking the rules at number 2 is risky but i couldn't have it any lower... they switch the house for the barbers and i think it works. lose marks for lack of actual band playing but gain marks for overall ingenuity. also maybe my fave 90s vid ever

1. tyre rolling, band in car looking very disinterested, plays at house party, wall jumping, pool diving, late night shopping havoc, cops eating donuts, generally good 90s flintstone... got it all i guess

My favorite black pants in my possession. In order.

1. Naked and Famous Weird Guy in 10oz.
2. Levi's 511 with raw hem.
3. Vintage Dickies work pants. No number older and a lighter cotton material than modern work pants.
4. Dickies 873, I don't really like the rise is on these.
5. Dickies 874, possibly could be higher but are one size too small.

I'll have a pair of Acne Ace Stay Cash by the end of the week so those will hopefully bump off one of the Dickies since I think what I want most right now from a black pant is denim right now. Also I've got Dickies covered.

I'll stop wearing black when they invent a darker color.

Check out my shit tumblr.

Also consider checking out my music.

BEST PANTS IN MY CLOSET
1. stretchy black uniqlo trousers with the pleat*
2. stretchy gray uniqlo trousers with the pleat*
3. stretchy black asics track pants i've decided are casual wear (also pleated)
4. pinstripe uniqlo joggers that happen to fit well (iconic)
5. tie (all other pants i own)
*these are the same pants but from different years, the gray ones taper way less

MY FAVORITE DESPAIRINGLY SAD AMBIENT TITLES
Song - Album [Artist]
1. Girl Nap - The Effective Disconnect [Brian McBride]
2. tie; I Just Want You to Stay / Wouldn't Wanna Be Swept Away - It's Hard for Me to Say I'm Sorry [Jim O'Rourke & Fennesz]
3. Where I End & You Begin - Love Is A Stream [Jefre Cantu-Ledesma]
4. All You Are Going To Want To Do Is Get Back There - An Empty Bliss Beyond This World [The Caretaker]
5. The First Time I Saw Your Face I Thought It Was A Dying Star - Shining Skull Breath [Jefre Cantu-Ledesma]
i should do that list again later but with only jefre cantu, i even overrate his music because the track titles make me want die

@bela
1. breast pockets on (non tee-)shirts are really good, I'm always putting my phone in my breast pocket, even when I have a coat on over it
2. pockets behind flap pockets I've found to be overrated. they can be really uncomfortable (esp if u like oversize coats) to the point where i'd literally prefer a decent kangaroo, which is well-positioned and great for headphones

Top 5 worst items of clothing to wear indoors from most acceptable to least acceptable

5. Shoes - The most acceptable, frequently it's OK to wear shoes inside, in a cafe or office for example
4. Suit Jacket - You're obviously wearing it so that everyone knows you're wearing a suit, but I mean you did wear a suit, so that's ok. And if you want to deal with all the creases on the back of your jacket caused by sitting down all day then fine, whatever. Not my issue.
3. Scarf - Barely acceptable but maybe you just didn't pack the correct base layer and need a bit of extra protection. You have plausible deniability.
2. Hat - Really getting nowhere with a hat, I don't think the room is so cold that your ears are cold so just sort it out. Fucking ditch the hat. This goes double for any hat with any sort of brim. Really fucking thin ice.
1. Coat - Take your coat off you fucking poser I swear to god.

Inspired by bels, william gibson, jerry seinfeld. Most psychologically uncomfortable type of shoe soles to wear in a gross bathroom.

1. crepe - extreme risk of slipping in puddle of who knows what, feels like your shoes are sponging up all the terrible things on that gross bathroom floor.
2. leather dress sole - similar slippage effect with increased sensitivity to feeling small rocks and stuff scraping on a hard floor, no thank you.
3. skate shoe, vans etc - while sneakers are arguably meant for handling grime and grit without concern, the amount of surface area and crevices making contact with that gross bathroom floor is just not ok. Even worse if it's worn down and porous!
4. christy work sole - after like 3 months it’s basically the texture of a giant stale eraser so no part of that sole is spared.
5. lug / hard work sole - pretty ok with these except when pieces of trash and other stuff gets caught in there, gross.
