Had a quick listen yesterday after it came out, not sure how I feel about it as a whole. It kind of lacks a direction, it will jump around from old Kanye style beats to newer trap beats. However there definitely are some stand out tracks on here The first couple were definitely some of my favorites but Wolves, I think Waves, whatever the Weeknd song was and a couple more. I am a little upset that he cut Sia's verse from Wolves since it was so great. I was going to link a remake of it but it seems that it has been purged from soundcloud.

listened to it a few times, it's pretty great. there isn't a single song on the album that i dislike. still think Only One should have been on the album though, also Wolves should have had Sia and Vic on it

ultra light beam is amaz, chances verse floored me. honestly think chance is the best rapper out there today, even better than kendrick. his bars are next level clever

not sure how people are thinking it lacks focus or is disjointed, it has a very distinct gospel-trap fusion thing going on through most of the album.

could do without the explicit sex bars about bleached assholes that kanye will randomly throw in to a song tho

An internet acquaintance of mine with a Twitch account likes this stuff, so I got an earful of The Life of Pablo secondhand.

I understood Real Friends and I Love Kanye enough to appreciate them. Everything else I heard — which may not have been the whole album — flew over my head so high I could see contrails.

Mr. West's enduring popularity continues to mystify me. I retreat to my orchestral music, ambient, and jazz.

Edit: To clarify, I don't dislike Kanye West — I just don't get his music. I wish I did.

Holy fuck. I went to the show and had GA tickets (honestly, if you are seeing the show coming up, I think it's worth the money over any seated ticket, no doubt) It was honestly one of the best shows I have ever been to. From the second the show started, pure amount of fog created this effect that I could only describe as cloud-like/dream-like. You could only see flashes and lights from peoples phones from the stands, and it looked very star like. When the stage moved out into the middle of the pit and the lights came on, everyone in the pit started to move towards the stage. Because of the fog, you lost all orientation of where you are in the arena, and the world, really. Everyone is screaming along to all the words, and I thought Kanye sounded pretty good himself. He played a total of 33 songs, and I thought the setlist was fantastic. I would have loved to hear more off of Yeezus, but this wasn't the Yeezus tour, so that's fine. Before he performed Runaway, he said, "You will remember this for the rest of your life." and like, even though it is corny and shit, I totally will. I was with 2 of my best friends and the show was unlike any other. I was at most 10-15 feet from Kanye at all times. The light shows were great.

After the show I guy dressed in head to toe Rick commented on my UU jeans and EG vans. Obviously everyone was wearing some sort of fashion piece (seriously so much yeezy and Supreme) so it was cool that this guy recognized stuff that wasn't very hyped. I plugged ct to him and he said he'd check it out.

Idk. Like I said, I thought it was one of the best shows I've ever been to.

yea, it was a thrilling show. I'm not huge on arena shows, but I was in the nose bleeds and it was very apparent that GA was a different experience. There were plenty of memorable moments. Fade was a very cool experience. I think the red laser effect came across even better on the screens. I got a neat gif of that:


Throughout the show, there was a strange streaking/blurring effect over layed on the screens that made the entire show seem like a moody and surreal dream.


In contrast to that article, the lights stayed on most of the time. I only remember it being flaxy low for Ultalight Beams and Heartless. I think the show in boston was overall more spiritual and uplifting. His monologue was less of a rant and more of a motivational speech (what CheerUpBrokeBoy shared a bit further up). We didn't have an angry Kanye. Pretty sure the setlist was about the same, definitely seemed shorter at the time.

honestly not that bad, nowhere near as heinous as the prices for s1. the shearling jacket is the most expensive at $1800 which i feel is pretty fair for "luxury brand" shearling? not sure what the actual outer material is on it but it looks nice. women's footwear/knitwear prices are weirdly high considering the rest of the prices. in any case i'll go to OC or whatever to check out the pieces
