Coffee and tea-vee

Hot beverage thread!

I'm all about the moka pot right now, trying different kinds of espresso beans. Good stuff, I like it way better than regular coffee. What are you drinking?

Good thread!

I drink lots of tea but occasionally chug really shit vending machine coffee at work because my caffeine addiction is in a really bad stage right now.

I finally brought a loose leaf tea (assam/darjeeling blend) to the office along with a filter so my life here has improved dramatically.

Green tea in the evening is the best thing.

Greatly looking forward to drinking lots of tea in Hong Kong, especially Yum Cha.

I love instant milk tea. It's just delicious and easy to make.

unsweetened ice tea is an optimal summer drink

i go to starbucks almost every day. it makes me feel like a sell-out but none of the local coffee shops around my work sell good drip coffee so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sugar in tea (or coffee really) is horrid

I used to add milk by default until I realised plain black tastes much richer and is more flavoursome.

Dipping a digestive or two in your tea is the path to a happy time.

Coffee all day. What do you use to make your coffee when you make it yourself? I've been using an aeropress. Funny little contraption.

hot tea is the superior drink. i drink a lot of green and jasmine.

other thoughts: loose leaf is the golden path. people who add milk and/or sugar (or anything) to tea disgust me.

only feelings of ambivalence towards coffee.

I'm a tea fan personally. Love both sweet/unsweet iced tea, and jacked about 100 shitty tea packets from my old dorm in various flavors. Need to actually get some good stuff though, right now my "quality" is Tazo.

Particularly fond of Darjeeling but usually drinking something else because I get bored of the same thing every day. Plain is the way to go but I sometimes like a bit of honey or lemon depending on my mood.

I like to drink plain black drip coffee on hot summer days after my lunch while I sit down and read and enjoy the sun. Also with donuts. There's something magical about coffee and donuts where the sum is greater than the parts. They really come together well, especially after good night of partying or the morning after.

I don't ever make coffee for myself. Only ever have it outside

But when I do make it myself, I use a drip cone.

Any mate fans?

My aunt from Argentina bought me a mate cup, and I'm currently in the market.

Never been a huge coffee drinker but there is way too much appeal to a few glasses of motor oil and some greasy spuds and homemade toast.

Just got this Francis! Francis! X5 espresso machine. I've been using a double pour spout, and its been pulling pretty good shots. It has a milk steamer too, which is nice. I want to get a good grinder for better beans.
