Why, yes! Music mostly brings me any emotions I need but at the exact time, when I decide that I need them, unlike in the situation with a real live boyfriend. And you even don't have to f*** with it.
For me, it's flintstone, moral support and even sedatives sometimes.

My first (free for a fundraiser) gig is coming up in the beginning of december and it's fucking 6 hours long jesus.
Since it's an african event I'd structure my mix with a few choons from home.
Made a 30min sample for them

Great compilation by Mississippi records. They put out regular compilations that are typically physical only but man they are great. The first track is a bop.

My first gig went from 6hrs down to 2hrs. I showed up an hour early for a quick soundcheck. Nothing was set up. I ended up becoming the soundguy and also had to do a quick run to to the store for some cables. Halfway through my set the musicians showed up and started demanding to do their soundcheck then and I'm like wut. Ended up having to abort my set halfway-ish.
A learning experience but jeez makes me almost never want to leave my bedroom. People loved my set though and some random lady said she worked for some events thing and digged my sound or whatever and said she'd hit me up on soundcloud
I was probably just being gassed up but whatevs. Though there's a huge disconnect between how much time I sunk prepping for this and the anxiety eating me up all week vs the outcome. I'm such an idiot lol

one of my favorite grooves, dont let the french clapping throw you off lol (seriously i dont understand !!!! how do u clap like that !!!)
instrumentation and feel reminds me of untitled how does it feel. dragged and rushed 12/8, rim shots, raphael saadiq - esque singing guitar melodies, e piano (rhodes 71?). i love dangelo so this is nice

When i first listened to Sketches of Spain, it changed my life (really!). I've been looking for comparable music ever since. Super pleased to have found this song, which was also arranged by Gil Evans:
