What is Mastodon?

It's like Twitter but with the addition of smaller enclaves that can be moderated! You can use it like you would use twitter or any other social media. Post up ramdom fashion jorts, hot fitpiqqs, or Birk Dikkemderg fanfiction! You can follow people from our 'care tags dot org' instance, or other instances. This article somewhat explains it:

Why should I bother?
Dunno, why do anything. Mastodon has a chronological timeline if that's your thing. It might also help somewhat slow our consensual descent into surveillance capitalism, echo chambers, bad faith 'debates' and complete societal destruction? Maybe do it just to be awkward like me because you're 'tool cute for twitter'

Is there an APP for this, I can only use APPS I hate the multidimensionality of cyber space and demand a flat, linear scrolling progression from APPS
