Cannot wait for winter break. Visiting my family; mom cooking me food, playing xbox with my brothers, zero responsibilities. It will feel like highschool all over again.

A few days ago I was having a pretty meh day at school, so after I was done with classes I decided to hit up McDonalds because I was hungry and had about an hour to kill before meeting up with the guy that's going to sub lease me his apartment. So I'm at McDonalds and I order a number three with no pickles and as I'm eating my burger I suddenly get this overwhelming feeling of sadness. Idk if it was because of me eating at a fast food restaurant or because I was having an existential crisis.
On a completely unrelated note, does anyone still use their PSP? I find myself playing it at least a couple times a week.

i know what you are talking about eufemism. you sit down a suddenly it's like 'what is even going on right now?' i think it's basically a moment of extreme 'presentness' that strips away the context that you conceive of yourself within a system of thought (via present and future). When it happens i'm aware that all that matters (or all that anything is) is existing. the fact that you are sitting in mcdonalds eating your number three w/ no pickles is exposed as the totality of your being. In buddhism you are supposed to cultivate presentness because it helps to free you from suffering. not anarchy of course, but more just an awareness that each moment is constantly changing. it may seem like sadness, but i would guess its more a feeling of helplessness and to understand that helplessness in the context of being present can be really helpful i think. savour the moment

lately I've been noticing more similarities between my siblings. a younger sister is getting taller and now she's starting to pass as my older sister from the back. My little brother has the same voice and eyes as my older brother. It's kind of an outside experience ya know. I used to not really be able to pinpoint these similarities before and would be surprised when strangers would guess that we were siblings before. But now I can see it and I'm not sure why. I was watching a funny show the other day and I even noticed that my chuckle/laugh is like my oldest brother's which is WHAT I don't even know.

My SO and I have been playing a lot of Counter Strike together lately. She'll be on the microphone and will repeat everything I tell her while I play. It's hilarious; I usually top frag and everyone thinks its a female playing. But the best thing about it is that within the three years we have been dating it is easily the best bonding experience we've had together.

Everyone (including international people because it's fun) should do this . It was spot on for me, probably because massachusetts is weird and calls them rotaries.
