#1 life lesson:
pull your hands out of your pockets when you take the stairs or you'll fall head first and eat the steps

#2 life lesson:
if you try to make plans with teenagers or young adults, always have a back up thing to do. they are a fickle people and logistics is not their forte.

#3 life lesson:
don't worry about things you can't change.

#4 life lesson:
When you are at the most busiest point in your life, then your grand parents are at their most loneliest. Visist your grand parents once in a while guys! You'll never regret it (smiling)

the fear of doing something is (almost) always worse than just following through with that thing

The only, only way to learn a life lesson is to experience it first hand

skyping with people can be very fulfilling

on a more serious note don't waste all your energy getting worked up in life, what may seem like the end of the world now won't even be a blip in your memory in years to come, whereas you will always look back fondly on the good times you had

A friend of mine always says "live life at an unsustainable frequency." He just turned 18 and is spending the next two months walking and hitchhiking from Sarajevo, up to Germany, through the Netherlands, down through France, and hiking the entire Camino this summer, relying only on the kindness of some strangers he's met who will let him sleep on their couches for a night.
