Bah, because they cut funding for public tv and no one really cares about the winter olympics here, we got 0 tv coverage. The only channel that's airing it it's expensive and from what I heard their coverage was terrible (friend is really into hockey and team Canada and she was so disappointed to go to a bar and they didn't show the game). I could stream it, but watching figure skating with my mother was sort of a family tradition and it isn't as fun to watch it alone. The commenters have been the same for the last 10 years(probably the only 2 people who know shit about it here) and I'm kinda used to their comments, ahah.

NBC lied to me about hockey coverage last weekend. Said to watch it live on TV in the morning, so I even get up early to watch this event (hockey). And it's just two hosts going on about russian food and interviewing "Moms of the Olympics". I hate the "backstory pandering" that they do for everyone too.

Wow that curling display was very disappointing... :( I only managed to see the start and then the final 2 ends but very sad.

Just Christie (another Scot!!!) in the speed skating and she is one cool customer. Looks like she's had a rough games so far (fall over / not finishing etc) so i really hope she does well here. I like how she kinda stays at the back and then all of a sudden boom she unleashes the speed and goes past everyone. v cool.
