i've been practicing my chalkboard technique (because eventually i'll be lecturing i guess) and it's not as easy as it looks. my normal handwriting is kind of messy to begin with.

Mine doesn't look pretty but at least it's very easy to read. I also squeeze the pen way too hard.

Love this thread.
Edit: Oh, yeah, I'm mostly using Pilot Vpens for taking notes and stuff. For calligraphy/lettering i use various brush pens/parallel pens/brushes/whatever i get my hands on.

how do all of you write so beautifully. My writing is just as fast as I can get words on paper before they leave my brain.

I feel sorry anytime I see people having to write code out for exams and such. It sucks and they mark you off for stupid typos that would otherwise be caught by the compiler in a heartbeat.

I LOVE letters. A lot. I wish I had discovered this love sooner. There's something so soothing and calming about drawing letters.
Just tonight, the casual graduate cafe let me rechalk the board. My first time trying to chalk, it's hard! But really fun. Definitely have lots of room to improve. Before and after:
Here are some things I did with pen (again, lots of room to improve). For these, I draw them out with pencil and then ink over with a pen.
And to round off the picspam, here's just some of my normal writing and some old boring notes:
BONUS: cheat sheet fetus writing:
