Built up a caad10 that I got off ebay with ultegra 6800 and wheels from singapore (soul wheels). Just waiting on proper pedals and a new saddle right now

Looks real good. What pedals and saddle are you throwing on it? And is that an all-city gonzo saddle on it at the moment?

Fizik Arione and look keo 2 max. And yeah, that is an all city gonzo on it right now

Have you ridden look keo's before? How are they? I currently run just normal mtb spds and am considering jumping to road pedals for the track.

Fizik arione sounds nice, I have the gonzo on my all city currently and it's a decent enough saddle.

Haven't ridden anything other than spd pedals actually, but I guess since this is a more road oriented bike I'd build it up to be a proper road bike, maybe eventually start racing with it. The gonzo isn't bad, but a bit too wide for me for longer rides.

blew out two fucking tubes today because the new tire i put on had a hole in it just above the bead - now i'm using my old ratty tire that doesn't have much life left and need to find a new one asap.

One time I blew 3 tubes in a week, even after a new tire because the new tire somehow had a sidewall explosion that was 3" wide, it just sat in the lab and then exploded

someone on my university's cycling team got four flats on a team ride before realising there was a piece of glass lodged in his tire.

we will never stop giving him shit for it.

When you get a flat, pump up the tube after you take it off to find the hole and then line it up with the tire and check that spot. It's a lot easier than trying to run your fingers through the inside of the tire blindly.

Oh yeah my bike is walnut shell blasted to remove paint (and weight), so it's just bare oxidized aluminium. Collects dirt over time I guess, but I think eventually I'm going to polish it to a dull shine

Considering selling my Kilo TT to help fund the purchase of Trek T1 that showed up on my local bike buy/sell group. Would end up only costing me around $350 out of pocket. T1's are such beautiful bikes. Ughhh

I currently live in a house with three other cyclists and its tons of fun since you'll always have a ride buddy if you want. Plus there is tons of bike porn coming through the house all the time. (One guy has a custom alchemy with the new red and HED stingers ) Here are two of mine:

riding a metric century tomorrow on our ~sick fixies~ with said friend. should be interesting and a good taste of what september's century will be like.

Slowly riding the 3 local mountains before the summer ends. Started with the hardest one last week, 12km at 8% average http://www.strava.com/segments/612178.

It's pretty fun just settling into a rhythm and going up a mountain, apart from all the bees and wasps that were attacking me because I had blueberries and a plum in my pocket

That looks super fun! I loved climbing mountains! Its currently 104 outside, so I'm jealous of anyone who's got the ability to go out and ride at any time other than the crack of dawn
