What I've been doing with the halibut (see travel thread).

Assorted veggies

Image

Plus halibut plus a bastard sauce of soy, sesame oil, olive oil, sriracha, garlic powder and cinnamon - hey, turned out alright.

Image

Plus rice and plate! If it's not clear, that pile was about three inches tall.

Made spruced up ramen which i think is cool cause its really good and really cheap. Basic chicken ramen pack with chicken breast, egg, garlic slices, asian garlic and ginger blend, and a dash of soy sauce

those both look amazing. Have you ever happened to try baked oatmeal? It's a really tasty way to make your oatmeal at least 3 times worse for you. The Budgetbytes site has some cool recipes. The baked pumpkin pie and blueberry/banana ones are especially good. Gonna have to make the pumpkin one again at least once or twice in the near future to get into that autumn grind.

Oh I just mash up the chickpeas with a potato masher and then combine it with the tahini-lemon-garlic(name escapes me now) plus more lemon and garlic.

A few years ago my sister recommended me a small bistro in Copenhagen serving french galettes (buckwheat flour pancakes) and crêpes. I also remember reading a review of the place in a paper that stated it was a small piece of Paris in Copenhagen. I had dinner there with my girlfriend and we enjoyed the food and the parisian atmosphere of the restaurant. We moved to Paris last month and have been on the hunt for a authentic crêperie and we think we've finally found it. A small place called Crêperie Suzette. Made right in front of you with few but good ingredients.

watched the forks over knives documentary today. reminded me of this thread, so here's some poor pics of things I've eaten this month. actually, what an irritating documentary, super preachy and it obviously had an agenda. made me want to eat more meat! good thing I just ate before it. anyway, next month I'll be going completely without meat again, did that last year too. hopefully I can find some good new recipes

various stuffs: puréed sweet potato, some kind of cabbage, good salad with feta, venison, roe maybe, salmon, wasabi mayo etc.

pulled pork burger with fries and some good mayonnaise

rye bread with avocado, bacon and egg

pulled pork burger, some bacon salad thing

rocky road cake, awesome face cake, apple pie

beef burger with raspberry(!) bbq sauce, potato wedges and chili mayonnaise

focaccia bread with ripped beef, chevre foam, herb-coated potato things

minty chocolate cake, ice cream and raspberry melba

mah apple pie (smiling)
