Thought it would be cool if there was a place people who are either learning or can speak other languages to meetup/practice or give advice on learning resources! Maybe find C-T language exchange partner or whatever. I also love seeing other people converse in different languages and thought it would be cool to see all the diversity here in one place!
Personally, I am learning Korean (안녕하세요!) and am currently at a low-intermediate level (about a TOPIK Level 3-4? Out of 6)..
I also just started a French class at University so am at a very beginner level, but have been surprised at how much I have had stored in the back of my head just from constant limited exposure growing up in Canada.

i was learning german at my university, but i transferred out and haven't spoken to anyone in 2 years. probably sound like an idiot, but it'd be cool to speak with someone who was native or just fluent.

I heard that one of the best ways to learn a language (at for phonemic ones) is to hear something, write down what you think you heard, then read what it actually was. Is there an online resource that lets me do that?

Il était une fois j'étais entirèment bilingue mais depuis que j'ai décidé d'étudier en anglais ma grammaire et mon français écrit souffrent... C'est très plate que je n'ai plus la chance d'y pratiquer au quotidien.
(I'm more inclined to speak english though, I used to be at the point where I could *think* in french but it doesn't come naturally anymore, especially conversationally.)

if you have a friend who speaks cantonese, try and practice with them. if not, is a decent channel on youtube. she still speaks quite formally and progresses through the video really fast though. i'd probably just pick up the basics from there and then move on to watching some HK dramas with subtitles

yes that is a Jewish sticker for the followers of the Breslav rabbi, though it's kabbalistic in nature. It's says 'na na nachma nachmun meuman' which is a song and kind of their slogan that they have written on all their shit.
Oh and the top part says 'Hashem loves you', which literally translates to 'the name' but is just the colloquial name for god.
