Almonds are also over 3x as calorie dense as beef, no one is going to eat 300g of almonds in one sitting (let alone multiple times a week) while that amount of beef (ie a steak) is totally normal for many meat eaters

Today I am celebrating my 100th day on a mythical island where there's nothing to eat but a pig (sometimes a chicken). I've been here many times, brought here by grinning assholes trying to prove that they are right and I am wrong and vegans are stupid because bacon.
For the majority of my time on this island I have been questioning my tormentor about what the pig is eating, but that question has gone unanswered. Alas I fear I may find myself here again before long.

Where do you meet these people?
Most people I talk to usually become strangely/enthusiastically obsessed with helping me find food that I can eat.

the best tasting pigs are the ones that hang out and eat acorns, figs and olives
I can't tell if the question was rhetorical or if bobbin is actually stuck on an island

Been thinking of switching my bean energy shakes from whey and milk to soy and soy milk and found this page on examine:
http://examine.com/faq/is-soy-good-or-bad-for-mewhich cleared some stuff up for me. I like examine.com because it's "scientific" though I never actually double check their research or read any of the papers.

Hey guys!!! I'm having a vegetarian picnic on Saturday and would love some ideas of what to bring! I'm bringing baguettes and cucumber salad but what else!
Something we can all pick at would be nice (6 people)

Where do you guys get your B12 from? Supplements or fortified food? I just read something that said excess B12 can cause acne, which is slightly worrying.

I take b12 pills (when I remember :S). I feel like it's easier and safer to do that than trying to reach your daily nutritional requirement through plant milks/nutritional yeast.
http://veganhealth.org/b12/rec recommends two 1000µg doses per week. It does say that"Large doses of B12 can trigger acne-like symptoms in a small percentage of people." but if you take the recommended amount you shouldn't have any problem, right?
However it does not recommend using spirulina as a source of B12
