weird detail but i really liked how a lot of howl's moving castle's music was composed in 3/4ths time. it really gave me a dreamlike and ethereal waltz-y feeling in the movie, which i felt matched a lot of the elements of the movie (the very serious portions notwithstanding).
plus calcifer has to be one of my favorite ghibli characters.

IMO The Wind Rises is the best Miyazaki film and one of the best films ever made. Masterpiece.
e: especially in tandem with the excellent The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness documentary.
