I truly and honestly do not like this collection and I simultaneously surprised and not at all surprised by that. Apparently the show notes talked about gender as context and blending women's and men's wear, but the result is really nothing new or nothing that hasn't been explored before, and those that are exploring it are doing a much better job of it. Prada is usually the jumping off point for other designers (the current 60's jizz and those damn skinny scarves were at Prada first) but this seems like a misstep and a bit of safe, disappointing move for a company which slowing declining sales and a dated reputation. It's not a complete and utter disaster, it's just not as thought provoking or inspiring as she and the house are capable of.

And the casting is pretty horrendous too, the "focus on the clothes and not the models by casting forgettable (99% white) faces" attitude is tired and lazy.

I don't think the casting is forgettable at all, the way they've done the hair, makeup and photography does make them look all the same for some reason but they have gone for a certain look that's quite interesting, Prada casting is always quite interesting I think, thought it would be a lot better if they cast me
