i'm looking thru collections and only posting ones i enjoy.
everyone is welcome to post collections they would like to discuss
I was expecting something a little more interesting from donna karan and also from mark mcnairy. i would post these collections but you might as well just flip thru high street marketing and you'll get the same jizz.
germ and sknss i dunno about women's so i leave that up to you

Tim Coppens was kind of boring. So many designers seem to rely on zips and colourblocking in lieu of any actual design. Perhaps i'm just being cynical though. I quite like the shoes.
Thom Browne is amazing and terrifying and beautiful. Probably deserves its own thread.
Robert Geller i disliked but i can't put my finger on why. Probably deserves its own thread too though, because at least it's got me thinking.
Siki Im is a mixed bag but some of the looks are truly excellent. Still, disappointing compared to last season. Socks w/ sandals throughout though!

quite liked Chris Kane, but too lazy to link the whole thing rn
not hugely into all the lace at Prorsum
liked the chain-link argyle and bombers at Pringle but nothing all that compelling
if any sees pictures of Nasir Mazhar lmk - nowfashion indicated he was on the schedule today but can't find pics anywhere

Iceberg makes some cool accessories that are ruined by branding

Iceberg has a men's but it's not designed by the same guy

Jil Sander was mostly a snoozefest. However i like these:
Marni was cool, in parts

yeah i liked the grey jumpsuit(?) from jil but i think i'm getting tired of seeing midriff
marni was cool in the end but the first looks looked pretty dated. the shellfish stuff was fun

also what's up with emporio armani's 94 looks???

Jil felt as if she was trying too hard to look cool to the Alexander Wang crowd
i like the first few florals at Marni but like you say they looked dated. Also felt like something Prada would do better
lol i tend to associate really long shows like that with old designers whose heyday is long gone - there's one guy in particular whose name escapes me right now, but with every show you detect a strong whiff of a man trying to relive the glory days, when couture shows would last two-and-a-half hours, etc etc.
paris tomorrow!

Wait, I'm so confused. Are they all models? Was there a choreographed dance?

i doubt they're "models", i think he just hired a dance group to present his show
and to think i almost didn't bother looking at rick after how bad ann was...
i know people are going to call this his shark-jump moment but those people are mouthpuckeringly boring, heartless chumps

are they strutting? is there a video?
I love that rick is this goofy nut job with a great sense of humor but that so many 'dark' men wear his stuff

that's the best show in forever but someone disabuse me of the idea that the clothes are 90% boring potato sacks.

the third round of dancers had pretty good stuff in black and white or with long tail things. but the rest was pretty boring.
i loved their hair and facial expressions. so exciting!
also the shoes look great.

I get that it was supposed to be athletic, but he did all these short garments, and it's possible to dance in long pants of they're stretchy or loose. I'm thinking about Chinese dance for instance.
I thought the show was cool, but there wasn't that much variety. But maybe it's just my untrained eye?
