The you-know-whats are the best bit

Nothing new or exciting but a terrific collection. Forgot how much I love Howell's shirt collar shape. Neckline of the jumpers is absolutely killer. Trousers are very good.

Its Margaret Howell. But its so good at being Margaret Howell it doesnt need to be anything else.

The you-know-whats are great but the collars on the macs+interplay with the throat latch is almost hypnotic, something about the roundness/thickness of the collar and the drape of the cotton.

Don't know much about Margret Howell except for the fact shes crazy popular in Japan (98 stores 96 stores???) But, it seems like this collection is made up of pieces Comme Des Garçons has do before but will be a better price second hand, white duffel coats have been done by Homme and shirt iirc, black duffle is literally every brand ever, fairisle knits have been done by comme in recent years, Homme and junya (aw11 was a good season) font get me wrong I'm not trying to conflate Margret and junya or rei but, the similarities are very plain to see and it makes sense to me at least why Margret Howell is so popular in Japan. Seems to subscribe to Japanese sensibility.it is nice to see more poc on the runway as well, something ny and London have embraced over Paris/Tokyo/milan are hba and naszir mazh. Anyways I'm very drunk so don't mind me but these are my thoughts on this collection
