This collection is getting a lot of good reviews; people are calling it a "fashion moment", lots of people crying etc. and it's certainly a very beautiful and evocative first solo collection, albeit light on ideas. It's great to see him getting the plaudits though.
Charybdis you say the blue reminds you of refugee tents. I suspect that in a collection that trades on ideas of protection, exposure, vulnerability, travellers etc. that this may not be entirely a coincidence. I think the greatest success of this collection - as mentioned in the dazed review - is that his references are for the most part very subtle, allowing the audience to develop its own meaning

Interestingly the first thing I thought of when I saw those light blue outfits was that it is oddly reminiscent of the shade of blue used for UN Peacekeepers

I like it but if i'm being honest i was more excited by AW13 and AW14. SS14 was a bit of a wild one... tie dye didn't really work for me.
I like the blue here. And the darker denim blue too. Not a huge fan of some of the tassels although they look cool in a few.
Re; the crying - i think it was because Louise Wilson died last month and she was so integral to Green etc, especially this most recent collection.
