Is/was there much of a mining industry there? There was a lot of Cornish diaspora to the West and Australasia during the 18th and 19th centuries when these regions needed skilled miners. These migrants are known as "Cousin Jacks"

McVities are very expensive here though, exotic foreign food

dwindles in tea they go all soft and soggy with delicious tea and the tea gets loads of yummy crumbs in. Very relaxing!
