when we poop we objectify and alienate ourselves as poop. the poop confronts us as an alien object and it exists as a reified power over us because we see it as super gross. it is hygienic and healthy to poop, but also simultaneously disgusting. the inherent self-contradictions of our current mode of pooping suggests a higher form of pooping immanently and dialectically

I don't really agree

The self doesn't consider the selfs poo as disgusting, but instead considers the idea of poop itself disgusting only in regards to other poopers, because it knows the adverts effects it would have when it came into contact with others poops,

So while we actually appreciate our own poops, we hate poop because we know it holds a danger.

the act of pooping is perfectly natural and healthy – poop itself is not

poop is gross by definition – it's waste product, everything too unhealthy/useless/unnecessary to continue to exist in our body's physiological system – and is thus expelled from the body on a regular basis

this is why our poop is seemingly more foul when we're sick (all that extra bacteria being ejected), or why people can get Hep C from eating fruit watered with contaminated shit-water

Ibuprofen will be the death of my intestines.

Before I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease I was pooping literally 15-30 times a day for about a week. I don't recommend that.

when i was a little kid (3rd grade is my best guess) i was in the car with my friend and we came up with the idea of a website where you could take pictures of your poop and other people would rate it. I wasn't quite clear on how the internet worked or anything like that so i'm retrospectively quite proud of that.

anyways, i was hanging out with some classmates, joking around about ideas for our next hackathon, and i threw that anecdote out there. someone decided they had to see if anyone else had built it, and lo and behold, . [warning: pictures of poo.]
