I had an interview for an internship today. I thought the questions they asked were pretty easy, but I have no idea because this company sends random rejections to people for seemingly no reason. If I got it I would probably cry(it'd be in NY/Chicago). If I don't that sucks but I mean w/e. I'm also fairly confident my roommate will get it so that doesn't really help.

Just got back from farm to table fundraising dinner for urban farm I work for. coordinating it was probably so far my biggest and most stressful undertaking in my life. 200 people, sold out, food was amazing and we got $$ (those booze sales). First time in awhile I feel proud of myself (not to say I made it what it was, had a ton of help). More than anything though I am just so absurdly relieved, had no idea it could feel this good to be DONE with something.

Hey! Good to hear from you. I'm a senior and gonna do a fifth year. What year are you in? I completely forgot about the DBH tatt, but it's a pretty cool idea (lmao) so please do it! After going through a few different environmental majors, I settled on sociology and discovered this is what I really want to do. Retrospectively, I can see how I ended up here, because I was always most interested in society-environment interactions.

Best tree I've seen is hard to say because they're fascinating in so many different ways. The big ones are always awe-inspiring. We installed lightning protection and support cables on a two-stemmed tulip poplar where each stem was 40". With those, when you look up and see a guy in the top of the tree it kinda feels like when you're in a plane and you see cars on the ground.

Some of the more interesting trees are the ones that shouldn't be alive. Trees can sometimes take a surprising amount of abuse, so I've seen individuals whose stem goes up a couple feet and hits a sharp right angle because thirty years ago another bigger tree fell on it.

I was at a client's house recently got to work with my favorite tree, Devil's Walking Stick. I love it because the stem looks like someone took some old bones and made them into medieval instruments of torture but it's got the largest leaves of any tree species and when the leaf bud is just opening at the start of the spring, that mean-looking stem produces some of the most gorgeous purples and greens on the new leaf growth.

so when Rodeo came out I thought it was pretty mediocre and was just a bunch of party bangers. birds came out and I was digging that more than rodeo, so I went back to rodeo to give it a chance. i was high as hell rodeo is so fucking good. better than birds it bangs soooo fuckin hard

idk how but he's managed to make even going out to a bar and talking to girls unenjoyable, it should be a good time but the bars suck and it's just bad vibes every time. it feels like he just wants someone to go to bars with so he doesn't look like he's alone so i'm basically a prop. i feel like he's basically tricking me to come out now by saying people are coming with to hang out and then they never show

it takes a weird kind of person to make even a platonic male friendship seem rapey, i don't trust the dude anymore and i don't know how it got like this. i've tried to set boundaries about what i want to do/what's worth my time when we hang out but it feels like he tricks me by saying that the situation is different than it really is. should i just set my boundaries more emphatically or should i actually phase him out
