Kinda thinking that men's baggy pants are stalled at takeoff right now. Like everyone in Brooklyn bought 874's over the summer but has started second-guessing themselves as the phat pant gravy train rave revival neoliberal Obama era threatens to run off the rails. We are edging toward an 00's revival in my opinion, witnessed in recent vague gestures toward flare and boot cut jeans in womenswear as well as the aforementioned epaulet comeback. Which way will it go??

It'll be trousers like this next I think, already seen them creeping into more magazine editorials etc, not wide cropped, not bootcut, baggy but still well fitting.

^yup that's a great shape really. call it a slouchy but well tailored pant, i fathom? relaxed but not sloppy, etc.
another way to look at it would be to consider that all the width of the pant hangs forward/vertically versus inseam/outseam width (horizontal width). iunno if that explanation makes any sense but i have a few trousers that fit that bill and they're v naice

The great part is that unlike say, big pleated waist and strong taper to crop, or even skinny or bootleg cuts which all require specific tailoring to "get the look", these are just regular fit trousers with a long inseam. Probably available literally everywhere.

horrible shape for cycling in though. Can't even tuck them into sock because there's too much fabric. Have to roll them all the way up to just under your knee.
