I don't know too much about her; you can get detailed views of/purchase some of these pieces on if you've a mind to (could you also pay my rent for the year? thanks). The textiles used here are very much in a tradition of embroidery that I associate with the eastern end of South Asia, in this case in the Bihari fashion ('sujani'). This is an unusually abstract use of the style, it's normally more narrative:
