A lot of Chicago drill/gang rap. It's really fascinating because it's all 'real'. The things they rap about, the people they rap about, for most of them, it's no exaggeration. I also like that it's rap music made for black people. I like Future, but his music and his audience is largely white kids. When Lil Durk makes a song, they're not thinking about the dorms and moving units to people like me. He's thinking about his block and neighborhood. He's a bit more popular so he's not the best example, but Sicko Mobb is another group that got signed on the strength of their name in the streets. I highly doubt more than 20,000 white kids knew who they were at the time. That's super cool to me. It's also really harrowing to listen to these songs and think about how they really are rapping about terrible things. Even the 'party' rappers like Sicko are hood and legit and that's just sort of weird.

not sure if this is the right place but maybe someone can help me out. was on spotify recently just hopping related artists and came across this one album that I particularly liked. I forgot to write it down and now I can't find it. The album was orange, and had white figures (maybe depictions of people?) on it. I do remember that the album was self-titled, but I can't remember the band. sorry if this is the wrong place to post. (it's not channel orange)
