I was lucky enough to watch Saul Williams perform this in Victoria over a year ago. I prefer it live without the production gimmicks. There is a rawness and intensity to everything he has to say. Just listening to him quote from his journal is incredible. Never feels like he is preaching either. As he says, everything he produces is just a consequence of challenging his own thoughts/beliefs/prejudices/emotions/worldview, etc. The honesty with which he shares his life's experiences is I think why I like him so much.
Anyhow, it seems there are a few poets on care-tags and I thought some of you may enjoy this.
