tnfpl is tnf japan (separate entity from tnf everywhere else and owned by goldwin japan, tnf mainline is not happy about this) licensing the brand name/logo to nanamica who does all the design/manufacturing.

I think the difference in how TNF is received in Korea is pretty funny, I'm from Canada so I have a goose down TNF parka that is not my style at all, but on -40 days I don't care too much about how I look..I wore it once in KR and my girlfriend made fun of me saying I looked like a middle schooler. Even the white label stuff I don't think most ''fashion conscious'' Koreans would wear because of the stigma attached to the brand, but I could be wrong.

A bit of topic, but if you guys are in Seoul I spotted a pretty nice Junya x TNF shell on sale at the Ilmo Outlet in Garosugil in M that I didn't pull the trigger on..fairly nice though.

probably my favourite brand. I'll probably buy a piece or 2 each year no matter what, always can find something worth having. mainline seems expensive but honestly the finishing and detailing just blow away any of the brands that cost 60% of what it does that people group it with. some stuff is MiJ and some things are made in china but you cant tell the difference.

none of it is as technical as it seems, except for the bonded gore stuff which functions better than you'd expect. past few seasons have looked pretty meh in the lookbook shots but then you see individual pieces and its good shit. womens mainline just started this season but its so fucking hard to find i have no idea where you'd get it. better than the mens probably (as cliche as this phrase is). i went to like 4 places when i was in tokyo looking for it and they didnt have it, not even the flagship. was back in jan tho.

moncler W is weird, very good things but also some weird shit. pricing is ludacris but it all goes to big sale so just wait.

other collabs rule, sauconys are so sick but $$$, tevas are the best tevas but they were only at the shibuya store and i assume long gone, they're doing barbours or something this fall but I've only seen pics of the 2 logos together on his insta

socks are a good entry point and go down to $25/pair most places end of season so thats when to buy (i got 4 from ssense this year). they're knit so that the inside is flat too, very easy to slide on even with big feet like me
