Opinions for entry level gore shell's? Not satisfied with my tnf venture

not substantial enough, not good enough at keeping water out, etc.

also the cut is a little strange in the mid-section.

I'm really not well-versed on gore, what is the lowest you can spend without getting something shitty?

By substantial do you mean the fabric weight?

Outdoors brands doing unfashionable gore will be 300ish+.

Imo you would be happiest with a veilance on sale / lightly used, 35-450 I'd imagine.

You can pick a milsurp gore for £50 (given its old tech and bare sweaty) fits massive but it's more than workable, I picked up a gore lochinver from tbf for £180 new but there are defo used ones kicking about and tbf that's good enough if you just want a basic shell for the structured hard shell aesthetic (I'm sure some will disagree)

For higher end I'd go acr or bust, if you're working on a budget i reckon you'll get much more visual wow/ purchase justification than a veilience. Would be more but I know mofaux picks his up for "cheap" ($600 or less).
