Went to the aquarium yesterday and took some pictures. There's 21 pictures total so I'll post a link to the album. I had a lot of fun, I went with my school mariachi group, we had a performance there (Dallas) and we took a bus there on Friday after school (it was a 6 hour drive after food and one other pit stop) and then stayed the night at a hotel. Saturday morning went to the aquarium and had our performances later in the day, then went back home. My camera died halfway through, so that's why some pictures are higher quality than others.

Went to Dinosaur Cave Park for a picnic yesterday. No dinosaurs there but there's an awesome view.

This is probably the first time I've ever had internet while doing fieldwork, so I figure I should do some light bragging since my day is mostly consumed by slave labor. Here I am climbing into a secret hot pot (hot spring) in Iceland. It's a crevice in the earth, in the middle of a lava field. You climb all the way in and eventually hit a boiling hot water pool. This was taken around midnight (but no real darkness this time of year in Iceland).

First time fly fishing in years, also first time ever in my area, so I had a hard time scouting a good spot. After hours of research and searching, I settled into this spot to try my luck with my Huck Finn equipment. I was nervous that the spot was bunk because I was the only person around, but then this guy with camo waders, an LL Bean fishing vest and wooden net crawls out of the woods eyeing my spot. He moved on down the river, and it felt good to have some verification that I'm doing it right.

In the end I only got a couple bites, but that was plenty good for me.
