Pretty happy that Algeria didn't win in a way, even though they might have been slightly easier opponents. A France v. Algeria match would cause chaos all over France and not in a good way. I'm sure police everywhere breathed a sigh of relief once the final whistle blew.


Also, lol at Glen Hoddle saying 'Al Jazeera' instead of Algeria.

there's still a few missing though, namely one with 'Zola' on the back and a flourescent yellow one from ~6 or so years ago.

the 90s jerseys are undoubtedly the best

Imagine how amazing it would be if the underdogs had got through! Chile, Colombia (yeah they're through anyway), Mexico, Algeria, Switzerland, and now Belgium or USA, all in the quarters. None of the big teams were close to be convincing in the knock out stages, but they had the final key ingredient of being able to kill off games, like tonight, in the last three minutes of extra time. Gutted for the Swiss, i thought they had it.

Amazing game. Probably the best of the tournament. Especially the extra time. The energy the USA had for the last 15 was ridiculous, you could see how much they wanted it. So bullish and honest! And that free kick...

Shame Belgium and the USA had to play each other, would have loved to see both in the quarters.

Ref should have been far more liberal with his cards. Julio Cesar was very lucky to only get a yellow. Fred is useless, he never seems to do anything but idk who Brazil could really replace him with.

Hopefully Neymar's injury isn't too serious, looked like he was in a lot of pain as he went off.


I'm a bit sad that France went out but they didn't really play well/like they had in the other games... Couldn't seem to hold the ball and Germany were good at breaking down anything.

France Germany game was a snorefest. Part of me wants a European team to win, but not with that kind of football. I don't want Germany to win, but not as much as i don't want Brazil to win... so at least one of those will be gone come Tuesday.

Brazil Colombia game was pretty good - first half was frantic and bubbling...felt like the last 10 minutes for most of the 45. Second half got pretty weird and i hope that ref doesn't do another game this world cup? Awful. Brazil kept nipping away at most of the Colombian team and then Rodriguez slides in with that tackle and gets a yellow? LOL come on son.

See the massive grasshopper/locust (idk i'm not up on my giant bugs) land on the arm of Rodriguez after the pen?

Gutted for Colombia, really liked how they played in all of their games and Rodriguez was a fave.

Quarter finals haven't been very good. Refereeing has been ABYSMAL. Can't believe some of the decisions in the Belgian game.

It was there for Belgium to win, or at least take to extra time... but they didn't seem that bothered about it until the last ten minutes. Just like France. Bizarre.
