Thinking of more things to wear with my OL rainbow jacket. The two outfits below are pretty solid but more bottoms and tops options would be cool. For bottoms I'm thinking navy chinos and light wash jeans. For tops I've got less ideas, white tees and button ups work fine but more options would be cool, I'm wondering if any patterns would be too much when paired with the jacket. But yeah, any ideas would be cool.

Might be better suited for the diy thread but I'll probably get more responses here. Making a scarf for my girlfriend for her birthday. Probably using linen. Does anyone have experience with boiling fabrics? I really like the texture of this Needles boiled linen jacket and that's the look I'm going for. http://i.imgur.com/TULyOM1.jpg

Thinking I'll get a softer but not light blue color, if available, and dip dye it with a dark gray. I'm going to do something different with it and make four panels to stitch together, overlapped slightly (maybe about 2 or 3 inches) so it has flaps/panels in a way to give more of a layered look within the scarf itself. Thinking that a good size for the entirety of it would be about 70 in x 30 in? Or would a square be better?

plenty of designers have gone without formal education in fashion. helpful yes, necessary no. raf studied industrial & furniture design, schiaparelli studied philosophy, rei studied fine arts and literature.

connections talent and hard work paved their way. schooling is immensely beneficial when taken full advantage of, but in no way guarantees success or inherent value. same with practically any other degree.

How about luxire for shirting? They seem like the only option for me. I can find shirts that fit me from places like J Crew or Bonobos but I don't like paying retail for questionable quality, is luxire any better?

I just like luxire because I had been looking for a linen shirt, no pocket, no collar, and two back pleats and the only real way of getting something like that is luxire... Not sure if worth $100.

terrible idea, man. It probably would not come out how you expect it to, let alone look good and would be ruining a very nice expensive piece. Imo old man style is dope and oatmeal is a great color for a knit, especially a robe like that,but if you don't like it/don't wear it enough to warrant keeping try selling it maybe?

I think that kind of cardigan is way harder to style than people give it credit for. It's not just like a normal cardigan but cooler and requires a certain kind of supporting wardrobe to shine. Notably you probably need more weight in the trew department.

Anyone got any lookbook pics that show that kind of thing being worn?
