Old Town is MTO, so you pick a style and a size and a fabric. They have a selection on their site, with varying prices depending on what you want. Everything is really nice feeling. The cottons are marketed as "Tin House" and very competitively priced. I often feel people are lying when they say "Less but better" (good luck wearing one £300 pound shirt in place of six £50 ones) but the prices on offer make me think that you could very realistically transition from a uniqlo wardrobe to an old town one by buying one OT piece instead of your monthly 70 grab bag from the twin red squares.
Corduroy is from Yorkshire, linen is from Ireland, tweed is Harris. cotton is bought in from somewhere. I said "That's a shame." when the lady said that and she said something along the lines of: "Well, is it? Really?" and she was pretty much correct.
