Japan, like Nazi Germany, had concentration camps as with the Holocaust for Chinese people and conducted inhumane experiments etc.
The European world, especially the English, divided up the Ottoman Empire/the holy land, which it did a bit with China and tried to do more wholesomely until Mao rose to power. iirc
LOL - obviously I'm being very superficial and vain here with race relations, but no you wouldn't in the literal sense. To clarify, I just find I -and we- gain a different perspective considering I'm not caught in between black/white racial dynamics, and I reckon my fellow black people can agree on that. Part of it is also their reluctance to embrace the hegemonic/dominant American culture too, which then dichotomizes their looking-glass self perspective and in turn leads to very polarizing power struggles with white relations. Again, simply being Asian or Chinese, I am not as much caught in this riff raff. Of course, this is pompously biased from my point-of-view, and you'd have to ask them yourself.
When I'm talking about talking with black people, they are not so much the acculturated intellectual types for what it's worth.
