I got a bit drunk at a christmas lunch, came back to the office, accidently printed 7 confidential emails to a printer in a different building, then bought some rafdidas. Not my worst day in corporate life

i was feeling kinda shitty today so i went out for a drive. drove around the lake looking at the different houses. idk if that's weird but i love looking at houses. some of these were huge too.

then i saw this while i was driving around. j cole must be from michigan.



then i went to the library and read an iron fist comic. holy crap the art was great the writing was great too.

I'm trying to decide between living in

1) fun city that I love living in that has everything that I want
2) not fun city that I will be working in

It's a 45 minute one way commute from city 1 to city 2. I'm trying to decide if it's worth living in city 2 just for a shorter commute (10-20 minutes vs. 45 minutes). Thoughts?

Is your commute public transport or driving? Is there a big price difference?

If it's public transport, City 1 no question. My coworker and I had this same option, I chose to live near the city center where stuff is happening, and she chose to live near work. My commute is ~50 mins on public transport, and her's is like a 10 minute walk. But she never ever ever comes out to do stuff anymore because it's a hassle to get back at late/weird hours. Also living in a vibrant city that you enjoy is so much better for your outlook than staying somewhere dull that you only sleep.

But if it's an active commute like driving, I don't have the perspective necessary (still lean towards city 1 though)

What's the use in getting home 25 minutes faster if all you do is nothing anyway.

If it's 45 minutes driving then that's a bit of a humm but only because I loathe driving.
