I'm back home for the weekend and it's weird realizing that I've essentially moved out and this is just my poorly located vacation home. The animals are super happy to see me though and the new 3-legged foster dog is adorable.

ha yep my bedroom is now totally devoid of personality and the computer room has been adopted by my mother. I also forgot how boring it is when you don't have room/hallmates to keep you busy.

my parents never converted my room into a guest room, so every time i go back it feels like im a teenager. kinda weird to be in your mid-20s and be sleeping under a bunch of awards you won in high school.

midvh i just want a black one but cdg has like three versions and three pricepoints so we'll see. i might just get some crazy blue color.

i "moved out" for college about 15 years ago, but then moved back after, but then moved out again and i guarnatee you its weird and kinda sad. like everything stays the same, the grocery store, the bank, the video store, the target may have gotten bigger, oh look now there's a Chile's near the Staples.

Mine haven't changed mine either. I'm really close with them though, so as long as I'm in the country I make the trip to go see them weekly.

Nothing ever changes over there, but I like that.

That's actually what's sorta disconcerting here. The house has changed (new carpet, walls have been painted, new furniture, foster dog) but my parents are doing the exact same thing they were a couple months ago. Two months is by no means a long time but it's odd for me when my own situation has changed so much.

i've become addicted to going out on the weekends and if i don't go out i just feel really, really sad and lonely
and when plans fall through i plummet into a black hole of abject despair

also i met this great guy and we went on a couple dates but i just feel like there isn't much chemistry between us which is a bummer
like he asked if i'm free and it looks like plans have fallen through tonight, so i could probably hang out with him but i don't really have a burning desire to do so
