I think I am repeating someone's opinion I read here recently, but I do wish models / people in fashion photos would just smile, you'd think that something that is supposedly a hobby and costs thousands of dollars should bring some joy to your life.

it feels worth noting that in 2011/12 "Our Legacy" was making clothes in a very specific vein of 70s/80s 'normcore' that really hit critical mass in 2014 and that they have really moved on from. the brand takes a lot of shit from casual fashion critics and i think their design team deserves a lot of credit, especially if you compare them to other brands in their range, notably norse and apc.

Been in Boston for a few hours and its crazy how much more noticeable fashion is here (coming from Austin TX). I've spotted a bape hoodie gang (that were filming sneakers), a guy wearing saint laurent sneakers, dudes talking about doing a sneaker pickup, and another guy wearing a givenchy sweatshirt.

found this really awesome Australian brand called Alpha60 while looking through some articles. I think I saw it on i-D. Stuff is really unique and I've never really seen anything like it. This wind breaker caught my eye and I really wanna try and find something like it.

Sorting costumes for a play and I hit up topman to see if they had any waistcoats. The sizing in there is absolutely ludicrous, I'm normally a 36 and I sometimes even wear XS but even the 38 made it hard for me to maneuver, a 40 would probably be the most comfortable option. Makes me wonder who on earth is small enough to fit into their 34 sizes.

for one of my classes we had to pick from a list of designers to write a report on and luckily yohji hadn't been chosen yet. finally wrote it today and i have a new appreciation for him, both as a designer and person. been thinking about picking up his autobiography all day. also if anyone isn't familiar with his ss99 "wedding" collection you need to watch it, some of the dresses change right before the audience's eyes. absolutely beautiful
