Pre-Christmas gifts are the bomb. gf got me the new Archy Marshall book and some tea. This made me feel even worse that only two of my four gifts for her actually arrived in time (probably the shittiest two also). On the upside though, my grandparents bought her a more thoughtful present than they've even gotten me, and they've only met her like 3 times haha

had a chinesr christmas
- all american breafast at pizza hut
- boozr heavy chinese christmas office party at 3pm
- which involved playing dreidel and watching ant men
- forced to drink a 1/4 bottle of expensive chinese liquor at dinner

i watched a muppet christmas carol - do we think this is the best adaptation of the story?
my brother got me three books about germany / berlin; berlin childhood around 1900 (walter benjamin), peeling the onion (gunter grass), alone in berlin (hans fallada)

My dad never seems to get me stuff that i want for christmas, but he always gets me stuff that i need, which is much more important and kind.
I would never ask for a roadside emergency kit, new work clothes, or a keyshaped swiss knife BUT i realize how helpful they are so i really appreciate them. Plus i get to think of dad when i use them :-)
