I hate stats so much i might get a PhD in Stats out of spite

I've been using a several year old HP Pavilion (bought junior year of high school, now a junior in college) and it's at the point where it's almost nonfunctional. I've been holding out but I really can't do homework anymore with it.

So I figured out that with my current job, and taking into consideration paying rent and groceries each month, with absolutely no extras or even gas for transportation (essentially having a constant balance of $0)...it would take me 5.5 months to afford a refurbished, three year old MacBook Pro. That's being (very) generous. I'll have a different job for the summer but I'm not considering that until I actually know what I'm doing.

I legitimately cannot afford a new computer for school. If anyone has any advice or is even trying to sell their old laptop, let me know.

Expect a lot of clothes for sale soon.

Sorry for the negativity, it's just a heavy thing to think about when I have two years of school left.

someone gave me a gift card for a shopping centre and I felt compelled to spend it all at once, lest the power of "free money" draw me to the inner city more than necessary. I ended up spending over an hour wandering around inside Muji trying to find something "useful" after discovering their pillows are stuffed with feathers and thus allergenic. I woke from my consumerist hell with a pair of cotton boxers and a measuring jug.
