Love Nina's comment about drawing from 90's belgian and japanese conceptual fashion - can see how that manifests itself through the attention to form and construction.

i went to the show

queued in this dark alley for like 10 minutes before we were let in. everyone was dressed cool (guy to my right was wearing an astrid anderson velour top smiles). was served rum and ginger beer in a plastic cup. it was like 7 parts rum 1 part mixer (apparently the guy pouring doesn't drink lol). the set was all metal and concrete and these bright column lamps. the music was some ambient stuff. i took some pics they're mostly awful:










didn't get a chance to speak to peir herself as all her friends were there obviously but it was pretty fun nonetheless. clothes looked pretty good, more of the same. wish there had been more colour and the shoes weren't to my taste either. favourite piece was the white ribbed knit.

Ah wow that's super cool - glad you had a good time. How much Peir did you wear in the end? White knit looks very interesting as does that coat at the back of the last picture.

: i currently own a rib-sleeve lapelless blazer, 2 pair of pants (slim pair in black, and some slight-drop crotch, cropped pants in grey). not sure what i'm going for in ss14 yet. the pockets are really neat though, so maybe something with pockets. below coat didn't make it to production, which makes me sad. some other things i was interested didn't get produced also.

The collection is ~20% women's, 10% unisex, 70% men's. She's testing the waters. Those striped knits are the coolest: they're made from the knit material used for polo shirt collars and sleeves, huge lengths of that sewn together. The cuts are recycled from her MA collection. The trousers are inspired by '70s mail order catalogues and have vintage zip adjustors on the sides rather than belt loops. Other shapes and colours are inspired by '30s tennis players. There was more i cant remember. I'm going to the showroom tomorrow, so hopefully i can take some pics etc

Just received my PW x Snowman pants and I love how they fit. I know people on SF were tapering them a little and I might do that, but I like that I can comfortably wear them up on my waist or hips. Eagerly awaiting FW to be up online at suspension.
