why aren't down mid layers more common? (i.e. something down filled but not so puffy that you could wear comfortably under a parka.) is long underwear a better insulator?
  • 2

I think that it is not. Cowichan, etc., If you prefer a thick knit, how about you? It is cool there is atmosphere!

Uniqlo has been doing these for the last two years (collarless ULD and part of the UUUUUU collection) and a bunch of Japan brands are doing "down cardigans" or "liner jackets" at the moment.

Feels a bit importcore to me but I know that's some people's deal.

I'd guess they aren't more common as midlayers because from a performance standpoint they're wank compared to a fleece or thermal underwear. But if all you're doing is standing at an overground station they're probably fine.

Has anyone of you had a garment professionally re-colored? Any experience on coloring is appreciated. Possibly red if it matters.

Where can i find a bunch of scrap fabric? Dont really wanna go to a store and have them cut out a fat quarter or a 16th of a yard, just wanna have a bunch of cheap/free unused fabric.

called my tailor and she uses her scraps so already tried that.

I want to sell my Eytys mother canvas shoes, but i want to clean them before taking pictures/selling them. What's the best way? They are not too dirty, been worn 10-15 times maybe. But, they do have some dirt on the soles, and a little bit on the canvas. Would putting them in the washing machine be alright? Just worried because of the cork insole. Otherwise i'll just spot clean them with a brush. Thanks (smiling)

1. How difficult is it to manage newly pieced ears? My grandma told me that she got an infection in hers a long time ago, so I've always been a little bit hesitant.

2. Any recommendations for websites that have a large selection of earrings?

Thanks everyone :^)

It's not mine (yet) unfortunately. some one else said it might not be arabic, thought I'd post here on the off chance anyone knew if it was kurdish/urdu/japanese/english etc. (can you write japanese/english with arabic letters?)
I found a different shirt in case it helps us at least figure out the language

thank you!

They are arabic characters for sure and it could be another language but from what I can see it's nonsense because Arabic letters exist in up to three forms depending on their place in a word. There are a few in there that are in the wrong place (even other languages using the characters abide by these rules otherwise you don't know where a word begins and ends).

Hello,

Been looking for a very particular style of pants with no success. Essentially, dark natural-fiber pants with knee seams so that it mimics shorts worn over trousers, but more tailored.

Visual examples of what I'm talking about:

So far I've found Alexander Wang Fall 2011 (not commercially available anymore obviously) and Acronym P20-S (which are cool but yo that pricetag), probably just looking in the wrong places. If anyone knows the style name or better yet can find live purchase links, I'd deeply appreciate.

alright so kind of a dumb question. is it weird to have multiple styles? or is it best to kind of stick to one thing? like somedays i wanna look like a "saint laurent" boy wannabe uniform and other days in more like a fuller cut outfit. this honestly passes thru my mind everyday lol.

edit: thanks for the comments guys!! (smiling)
