any other cters applying for master's programs within canada?

i'm starting to apply now and have no idea where to go. my top choice is to do an MA in english literature at UBC but they have very competitive admission standards. fallbacks are uofa and uoft, but ive heard uoft is quite shit for humanities? is waterloo good???

which institutions have good MA programs in canada? only req. is that i dont want to live in a non-city. can't go abroad bc i have no funds and i dont really want to go to school in the USA

ive actually seen gray jay's in the mountains near jasper. you need to go pretty far north to see them. they're very charismatic and will sing songs/do little spins for treats

my roommate, an avid bird-watcher and outside-goer, is very involved in this contentious debate, and maintains that the steller's jay is the correct choice
