Weird question indeed. Actually wanted to offer a white tote to my little cousin (boy), was wondering if it was fine or a bit girlish --> considering that at his age this is something than can matter.

I could have kept it for me but I never carry anything.
I don't want to put him in a situation where he "has" to accept something that he actually doesn't feel like using it.

lol i live like three blocks from the strand (at least for the next four days)

as far as i know the strand received a ton of support for toughing it out and succeeding as a large independent bookstore in an expensive part of manhattan, surviving big chain bookstores, the internet/kindle etc. so that's definitely part of it

and i think there's a lot of overlap between people who support independent bookstores and people who use totes

Still somewhat surprised this was official glastonbury merch, really looks like some sort of bootleg. Either way, good for making sure that everyone knows that you went to glastonbury and is a nice yellow.

has science yet solved the problem of riding a bicycle and using a tote? so far the only conceivable solution i've seen is a basket which can be rather clunky.

I got a battenwear one which you can wear cross body. usually Ill carry them in my backpack if I'm shopping with my bike but don't think that's the answer you're looking for. If you use your bike like most people use a car I would highly recommend investing in panniers

If you have a city bike you can ride with a tote, it's just slightly annoying because totes are shit.

Get a basket probably, or a packable backpack. Front rack with cargo net works with tote nicely. Or actually rear pannier with cargo rack can work too.

^ i own that hl wallet tote now (they pop up on y!jp a bunch! it was like 27 dollars) lol. included that one cdg zip wallet for a size comparison... i did a little bit to reinforce the handles bc i wanna use it 4 class lol
i kinda wish it was a wallet with like, slots/pockets for real - it just has a coin purse type zipper on the back/non-embossed side - but i think it can be used as a very disorganized pocketless/slotless .. wallet.. thing if u keep the tote folded up and empty

Wanted to resurrect this thread to strongly recommend this tote I found on amazon

Been using it probably every other day on average since December 2017 and there's essentially no signs of wear on any part of it

pros:
- Wide straps so no sore shoulder from carrying too many books/groceries/laptop etc.
- zip (not the sturdiest-feeling, but yet to break for me or my gf who has one, and stops stuff from falling out)
- 100% Cotton for that p a t i n a
- Good ratio of width/height/depth
- pocket on the outside (been thinking about adding a popper or st so that it closes better, but can't really complain)
- £13.65 for two
