Victor Pasmore's Apollo Pavillion, Peterlee

restored in 2009, but has been graffitti covered and overgrown for much of its history

with Pasmore himself:

his paintings are probably more successful than his architectural attempts, worth checking out (saw an exhibition of his stuff earlier this year)

brutalism... the most brutal of isms
