Some friends and I drank in my room a couple nights ago for my birthday (it was actually the following day, but I was leaving earlyish to come back home). Got slightly more drunk than I should have and decided to join the spontaneous walk to CookOut (~1 mile away). Ended up having to console my friend who just broke up with her boyfriend and I lost about 3 buttons from my green Junya coat on the way there. But I found them all in the sink the next morning so all will be okay.

Is the long thanksgiving weekend a bad time to ask someone out? There's this girl in my monday class that I wanna ask, I honestly don't know her that well (we've talked like a couple times) but that's the point of going out right? To get to know people. But my family doesn't have a really strong tradition of thanksgiving so idk if it's cool to go out during thanksgiving. She isn't travelling or anything but does the "spend time with your family" extend to friday-sunday?

I'm just scared about putting myself out there. I have a good feeling about her, like this has a chance of working
